OUR TRIP TO SAN FRANCISCO
A MOTHER'S DAY TO REMEMBER
David, Jake, and I spent last week in SF. While David spent a couple of days in a training class for work, Jake and I took the trolley down to the fisherman's wharf. We spent a day at the Aquarium and visiting all the local shops on Pier 39. Jake enjoyed the seals and eating clam chowder..:) It was quite chilly so we did alot of fast walking. Jake was a little saint as he let me browse/shop through all the stores near our hotel. He has a whirlwind of energy that just tuckers me out. We spent an evening in China town and enjoyed a nice Chinese dinner. On Friday, we took a boat ride around the SF Golden Gate Bridge and took lots of pictures of Alcatraz.
The highlight of our week was definitely meeting David's Aunt, Uncle, and cousins! We met up with the entire family at a lovely restaurant off the water (Skates). We then spent the rest of the weekend getting to reminisce about David's childhood and creating new memories with Jake. We definitely will plan on meeting up with everyone again and planning some future family gatherings!

SELLING BALLS

Nick and Jack hanging out together yesterday after school. Nick has been selling for nearly a week now after school and is up to $70. He is so excited and mentioned to me this morning that maybe he should give his money to the poor. I told him to save it for his trip to CA come May and treat his brother, Vincent to something nice at the store. The folks at the BlackBear golf course are super nice. We had a near miss yesterday; a golfer hit one of our larger windows..ugh!! But, thankfully no damage. Finding golf balls is so much better than an Easter Egg hunt!!

APRIL BRINGS NEW FLOWERS
We spent my 43rd birthday planting a tree for Arbor Day. Jake brought Mr. Moose from his class. Kids seemed to enjoy it. We even got a free plant and donuts! They only planted 30 trees compared to 60 last year. During the evening we spent the celebrations with friends in our neighborhood. David was so excited and bought me a new set of women's golf clubs. I get to try them out next week. I joined a women's league and get to play on Tuesdays. He also was so sweet and got a weekend get away at a fancy hotel downtown Denver. We haven't set the date of when we are going to go but I have a feeling it will be soon. Thanks again to all our friends for all the great gifts!
David doing more and more traveling with his new job. Jake and I are going to join him
in San Francisco when the kids go on break and Nick visiting his dad in CA come May. We are looking forward to it since we missed out on the Whistler trip this year. I get to meet David's Aunt and Uncle as we are going to stay with them for a couple of days. It should be a fun few days! I'll take lots of pictures.
The other morning the golf course watered the course and only our house got the brunt of the water and iced up all our trees and plants. Hopefully, it doesn't cause too much damage.
Nick & I a couple of weeks ago making red velvet cupcakes..YUMMY!! But, definitely messy..:) Nick doing alot of selling with all the golf balls they have found. Maybe he can buy his own car!!
