SWEET SUNDAY COLD
Jake working with Daddy in the basement didn't want to join Nick and I for some sleigh riding at the Park. Mommy took some pictures and then jumped back into the car as it was SO chilly. Nick as usual had a blast riding down the icey hill. More snow to come tonight. We are hoping to get up in the mountains next weekend.

My oldest brother, Kenny over in Kuwait. Let's remember all the men and women who are serving our country. Pray everyday that the War ends soon and that they can return safely to their families. 6 years is too long! I hope 2008 will bring on positive changes that are very much needed for our children and their children. God Bless.

Jake Snowboarding 2007 Season

So this was Jake doing his thing on the mountain during the 2006/2007 season. This year I am sure David will get more video and have some new videos to show how he has been improving.

TIMBERRRRRRRRRRR

So, the other day David comes home and wraps up my Christmas present as it came in the mail. As he is squeezing it behind the tree, the tree tumbles forward..haa haa..and boo whoo...ornaments broke and mommy had to spend time the next day hot cluing them back together again. Pop, there is the package you bought him from Home Depot - he wants me to wrap it. Why?

Kids back in school tomorrow - 3 weeks is way too long. :) We went to the movies yesterday - Fred Claus; my opinion - wasn't worth the money or maybe even the video. Kids were antsy and spent more time in the bathroom after all the slushy drinks. If anyone has good suggestions for the movies, let us know.

Here is what mommy has been working on while the kids have been home from school. I told the boys they can fight over all the blankets I will make for them when they leave the house. It will be nice for them to have and to hand down to their kids. I made them felted slippers but they don't wear them; they'll have to go in the hope chest for their kids. The big Harry Potter slippers are mommy's and she wears them everyday.

This could be addicting or that I'm just too lazy to get dressed this morning..ha ha. Thinking of my pop...love ya.

Just playing around and thinking of all the things we did this year. It's a beautiful, windy, day here today. I took the boys swimming yesterday to a new recreation center just south of us. They had a blast. The chlorine got to me after awhile so we called it a day after 4 hours of swimming and playing around. Now, we know where to go during the winter.

THE COLLERAN FAMILY

NICK & JAKE

December 2007

Hi everyone! My first blog. Sorry it took me so long. The boys are doing great! We haven't had much snow compared to last year in town. It seems to be getting better in the mountains. We've been up to the mountains about 4 times now and it's still quite icy. So, all we have to say is...BRING ON THE SNOW!! Nick getting a break from his braces - they go back on next year..:(

This is a picture of the boys a couple of weeks ago. We were up in Copper, CO. It was quite nice but a little icy. We are hoping to go up this weekend again as more snow is coming..yippee. So, for all our friends in AZ - please come and visit us anytime! I bet we could convince you to stay and live in gorgeous Colorado.

2007 AT OUR HOUSE IN PARKER, CO

We enjoyed a very lovely Thanksgiving. Everything tasted great. We hope you and yours had a very thankful Thanksgiving. Next year we decided to volunteer at the soup kitchen. It's time the boys start to learn about giving back to the community. We have already signed up for the special Olympics this year.

OUR BASEMENT UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Daddy, David doing an unbelievable job in the construction of our basement. With quotes as high as $60k we thought it would be more economical if David did it during the weekends. And, with the lack of snow and not being able to go snowboarding this seems to be the time of year to get it done. Along with his buddy, Bruce they are doing a fantastic job. Each week they go to each others home to work on each other's basements. For some reason, David tries really hard to get to Bruce's house but Bruce always seems to have something going on..:) David thinks they should be able to get it all done by April - that would be nice a birthday gift for mom. Hey, Bryant - you would be proud of David doing all the electrical work - but it would have been nice and a good excuse for you to come and inspect his work..smile..

Well, since this is my first attempt at this blog, let's see if this works and I can send to everyone. We hope friends and family have a joyous and peaceful holiday this year. Best wishes always!
